What is Cryptojacking?

Cryptojacking is a type of cyberattack that involves hacking devices without the legitimate user’s knowledge to mine cryptocurrencies using software installed on the device.

Through this kind of crime, criminals take advantage of the processing power of the hacked device and perform illegitimate cryptocurrency mining actions, enriching themselves in the process.

Cryptojacking malware infects web servers to inject javascript code for cryptocurrency mining into the visitor’s browser, user computers, and servers, where it tries to go undetected.
