What is Amazon ec2 instance?

An Amazon EC2 instance is a virtual machine in the Amazon Cloud (Elastic Compute Cloud) that provides the user with scalable resources in the AWS (Amazon Web Services) infrastructure.

The use of cloud instances makes it possible to carry out projects that require variable computing resources, from web applications to cracking tools, without the need to purchase hardware and paying for resources as they are consumed, making it possible to dynamically add more resources such as memory, processor or graphics cards (GPU).

Instances running in the amazon cloud are called AMI , Amazon Machine Image, and on them you can make use of the desired software.
