What is Hashcat?

Hashcat is a password cracking or recovery program. It is one of the most complete tools, supporting more than 300 hashing algorithms, and is regularly used by security auditors to assess the robustness of a password or during pentesting tasks.

Among the advantages of Hashcat, GPU support stands out, to speed up the cracking process on the graphics card and the distributed processing between cracking nodes.
